5 Ways to Celebrate Mother's Day While Social Distancing

5 Ways to Celebrate Mother's Day While Social Distancing

With Mother's Day fast approaching, we must figure out how to express our appreciation and love from a distance. Here are some ways to celebrate your Mom or special person from afar.

1. Window Visits

If your Mother, Grandmother, or special person lives nearby, window visits are a cute and fun way to show that person love. Make a cute sign to hold up or bring a lawn chair to sit out and chat from 6 feet away!

2. Send A Video Message

If you have a tech-savvy Mom or special person, this is a great option if you live far apart. Most computers and laptops have cameras to send a video, or you can send them from your phone! A video feels more personable than a regular phone call.

3.Good Ole Snail Mail

For the not-so-tech-savvy Mom, you can't go wrong with a hand-written card. Something about sending a card through the mail will still feel special and let your Mom know you're thinking of her. If you want to up the ante, send flowers to go with it!

4. Drive-by Parade

This option is especially fun for the grandkids. A drive-by parade is a fun and engaging way to celebrate Mother's Day from a distance. If you have a large family, this could also be a fun way to get everyone together from a distance and build on to your parade. Be sure to decorate your vehicle and wave!

5. Send a Special Meal

If your Mom has a favorite dinner or meal, find a local restaurant that offers a delivery service and have your special person's meal delivered to their door. This is a loving thing to do from a distance and you could even have a video call during dinner together!
